Whether you choose to dine in or take your meal to go, your purchase can help support Chapel Hill UMC. Simply present the fundraiser flyer, shown below, at the Avon location, and 10% of your total food purchase will be donated to Chapel Hill UMC. All proceeds from the fundraiser will go toward supporting our mission projects.

Get ready for Adventures in Food (AiF) on Monday, September 28th at 6 pm as we gather for a delicious meal and great fellowship at La Hacienda (Avon). This is a wonderful opportunity to enjoy flavorful cuisine, connect with others, and try something new together.

Due to the rising cost of fuel, we will begin asking riders to help offset transportation expenses. For anyone riding the bus on an Adventures in Food trip,  there will be a $2 transportation fee.

Whether you love food or are experiencing AiF for the first time, all are welcome to come and share in the fun.

We hope you’ll join us for an evening of food, friendship, and adventure!

This month, we’re shining a spotlight on one of Chapel Hill UMC’s growing outreach ministries: Kids Clothing Corner (KCC)!

Today, approximately 150 families are supported through KCC each month. Families are welcomed into a clean, safe, and organized space where they can find gently used items their children need—all while being treated with dignity, kindness, and compassion.

Help Them Reach Their $1,000 Goal!

As KCC continues to grow, so do its needs. This year, they are asking for help to raise $1,000 to purchase new equipment and supplies needed for the upcoming year.

Funds will help KCC purchase items such as:

• Clothing racks to better organize and display the thousands of items available to families
• Laundry carts to help volunteers manage the ongoing laundry needs of the ministry
• Gallon, quart, snack, and sandwich-size bags for organizing and distributing smaller items
• Laundry pods and other supplies needed to keep donated clothing fresh, clean, and ready for families

These may seem like small, everyday necessities, but they make a big difference in keeping KCC running efficiently and allowing our volunteers to focus on what matters most: serving families.

Together, we can make sure Kids Clothing Corner has the equipment and supplies it needs to continue serving approximately 150 families each month—and continue showing children and parents that their community cares.

Your mission is simple: complete five Mission Reach tasks in a row—across, down, or diagonally—to complete your mission! Once you've finished all five tasks, contact Mark or Pastor Dave to receive your Secret Mission Gift.

Grab your bike and join the Chapel Hill Cyclers for a fun evening of riding and fellowship! Beginning Tuesday, July 28, we'll meet every Tuesday at 5 pm in the church parking lot before heading out on a family-friendly ride through the neighborhood.

Don't have a bike or helmet? No problem—we've got you covered!

This is a great opportunity for kids to get outside, stay active, make new friends, and enjoy the summer. Invite your children, grandchildren, neighbors, and friends—everyone is welcome, regardless of experience level.

Come ride with us and make Tuesday evenings a highlight of your summer!

Do you have a heart for helping children grow in their faith? We are looking for one additional volunteer to help teach our Elementary Sunday School class!

No teaching experience is necessary—all lesson materials and curriculum are provided. You would partner with another teacher, alternating who leads the lesson each week, making preparation and teaching responsibilities manageable.

Teachers are asked to be present each Sunday, even when only one person is leading the lesson. The good news is that if you need to be away for vacation, illness, or another commitment, it's easy to arrange coverage and take a Sunday off.

This is a wonderful opportunity to build relationships with our children, share God's love, and make a lasting impact in their lives.

Our Loads of Faith ministry is making a real difference right here in our community — and we need your help to keep it going strong!

This outreach provides laundry supplies to neighbors who may be struggling to cover basic necessities. Something as simple as clean clothes can restore dignity, boost confidence, and remind someone they are seen and cared for.

How You Can Help
We are currently collecting:

• Laundry pods
• Dryer sheets
• Sandwich-size baggies
• Snack-size baggies
• Quarters (for laundromat use)

These simple items go directly into prepared laundry kits that are shared with individuals and families in need.

Want to Volunteer?
You can also serve by:

• Helping fill baggies with laundry supplies
• Delivering the prepared kits across the street

Do you enjoy knitting or crocheting? We'd love for you to be part of our annual Mitten Tree Ministry!

We have FREE yarn available in the Connection Hub for anyone who would like to create handmade hats, scarves, and mittens to bless families in our community. Whether you're an experienced crafter or just looking for a meaningful project, your handmade gifts can make a real difference this fall.

All completed hats, mittens, and scarves are due in October and will be distributed to families in Wayne Township and our Food Pantry neighbors. This will help keep children and adults warm as the colder months arrive.

Stop by the church to pick up your free yarn. All you need to do is gather your knitting needles or crochet hook, and start creating! Every stitch is an act of love, and every item you make will remind someone that they are seen, cared for, and supported by their community.
