Dave Buckner

Pastor

Pastor David Buckner, an Indianapolis native, graduated from Indiana University Bloomington with a B.S. in Biology and later earned his Master of Divinity from Asbury Theological Seminary. He began his ministry in 1991 and has served churches across central Indiana, including more than a decade in youth ministry and 16 years as senior pastor in Pittsboro.

Since 2018, Pastor Dave has served as senior pastor at Chapel Hill United Methodist Church. He is an avid cyclist, talented musician, and passionate about creating spaces where everyone feels welcome—just as Jesus did.

Dave and his wife, Laura, have five grown children.
