We are a community of women — young, mid‑life, and seasoned — who are growing in faith, friendship, and purpose. We’re part of a global movement that empowers women to live boldly with Jesus, support each other, and make a positive impact in our church, community, and world.

Our Purpose

The Chapel Hill United Women in Faith (UWF) seek to connect and nurture women through Christian spiritual formation, leadership development, creative fellowship and education so that they can inspire, influence and impact local and global communities. 

Connect

We welcome women of all ages to gather in fellowship, prayer, conversation, and mutual encouragement.

Grow

We focus on deepening our spiritual lives, strengthening our relationship with God, and with one another. 

Lead

We support women in discovering and developing leadership gifts.

Serve

We serve people in need, support mission efforts, and bring faith to life through practical compassion and action.

Ugly Quilts

The Ugly Quilts ministry has been in existence for over 25 years, and has crafted more than 1,000 quilted sleeping bags for homeless.

Funeral Meals

The women are honored to support grieving families by providing funeral meal. The team serves approximately 4–5 funeral meals each year.

Fleece Blanket Project

This ministry creates tied fleece blankets in small and large sizes for homeless and indigent individuals in Indianapolis.

Social Gatherings

Throughout the year, the UWF hosts a Chili Cookoff, Game Nights, Salad Pitch-In, and UWF Day Away.

Tea Parties

Two teas are organized and hosted by the UMF: Chari-Tea, which raises funds for a selected organization, and a festive Christmas Tea.

The annual Craft Show allows you to step into a wonderland of handmade treasures, lovingly crafted with passion and care.

  • We meet regularly with the women's groups from a wide range of other denominations here on the westside of Indianapolis
  • We learn from one another, share ideas and activities, and promote cooperation and unity within our neighborhoods
  • We support each other’s ministries by collecting items such as clean plastic grocery bags, travel-size toiletries, and sewing supplies (thread, patterns, knitting yarn—not craft yarn—needles, hooks, and fabric)
